SailorMoon - Palace In My Arms

Who is the most impatient person ever~ ^.^ Ah well, I got it done.

Based on the live action series of sailor moon, featuring Kunzite and Dark Mercury.
The title comes from the pose - his arms are free to wrap around her, but she has been imprisoned by her own arms in the decadence of his embrace.....more of my romanticism coming to the surface. Im such a sap.

I have quite a bit to say about this...first off is that I think this came out beautifully. There are a few minor probems, involving the length of mercury's legs (so I didn't have to put the details on her boots) and the pearls on Kunzite's arms (which I had to white over is PShop because it was too hard to not color them with the copics) However, the look of arrogance and greed mixed with desire came out wonderfully on Kunzite's face, mirrored by the apathy/trepidation on Mercury's face (she was brainwashed by kunzite and Metallia so she's evil but at some point the spell weakens, and in reality she's actually pretty shy). Plus, Kunzite's RIDICULOUSLY HARD details came out well. The snake leather and pattern on his cape were also PShop. Mercury's butterfly breastplate was also crazy to draw, and I ended up redoing it like 4 times. Getting their heads to be the same size ended up being a challenge but.....gah. I could go on forever.

Anyway, the funny part is the refs that I ended up using for kunzite. Although his drawing came out all smexy and gorgeous (I'm a sucker for tall dark and handsomes) I couldn't look at his refs without cracking up and losing all concentration. It just looks like he knows how ridiculous he looksand can't keep a straight face. I dunno, I'll let you decide. [link] rofl.

Anyway, I hope you like it. I would have loved to do a background for this, but I was impatient to finish, I have no idea what I would have done, and poetesslaureate has gotten enough crazy backgrounds from me. More and I'll probably vomit my soul onto the page. XD
